Great News!!!!! I've been selected as a blogger for the Women of Faith Conference - Charlotte, NC

Escape from the everyday at a Women of Faith weekend and be refreshed, encouraged and inspired.

Because the God who loves you can do far more than you can ever Imagine.

I am so excited!!!!

I received word this week that I had been selected as a BookSneeze Blogger to attend the Women of Faith Conference on September 23 & 24, 2011 at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, NC.

I signed up for this when I received an e-mail from BookSneeze announcing they were offering some of their bloggers a chance to attend a Women of Faith weekend--Free! I haven't been able to attend one of these conferences before and decided to give it a try. With all of the other people that are on BookSneeze, I never dreamed that I would be selected to go.

Scheduled at this conference are renowned speakers: Sheila Walsh, Luci Swindoll, Lisa Harper and Ken Davis; award-winning musical artists: Mary, Mary and Natalie Grant; drama by Nicole Johnson; best-selling authors: Henry Cloud and Karen Kingsbury; and so much more combine for a hope-filled event of encouragement and inspiration.

My job for this is very simple. I have to post the Women of Faith badge on my blog and write about this event at least before and after the event. I have also posted an informational video.

BookSneeze and Women of Faith are a division of Thomas Nelson.

Rainy, Cold Spring Sunday

What have I been doing today? After going to Sunday school and church this morning, we had chicken & rice soup with toasted pimento cheese sandwiches plus some wonderful pound cake. Our lunch was to help the youth raise money to support their trip to New Orleans this summer. Came home, took a nap and worked on trying to get the bedroom ready for a big file cabinet Wednesday.

After doing some reading and knitting, I decided to think of a list of some things I should be grateful for today:

1.     The lesson on fasting this morning
2.    Seeing a sick friend that is starting to get out and about.
3.    Calling my son
4.    A phone call from a special friend.
5.    Making scarves for the state wide Special Olympics for North Carolina and Virginia
6.    Making Shamrock's for the ladies at the Senior Center
7.    Perform a random act of kindness
8.     Spring cleaning
9.     Telling my friends that I am so proud of them
10.Calling my son

I've Changed Gratitude and Grace Around Tonight!

There has been some changes made tonight. I haven't been posting much about myself lately and this blog was getting full of book reviews. My daughter and I decided to make a blog for just my book reviews. I have named it Janie's Book Reviews. You can find it at jagette.blogspot.com. I think you will enjoy it. I am reading Christian books and letting you know how I like them. I will be starting to post more on my thoughts and crafting on this site.
